Airbus H160 General Familiarisation Course

The Airbus H160 General Familiarisation Course is designed to meet EASA’s Level 1 knowledge requirements in accordance with Regulation EU No. 1321/2014, ANNEX III, Part 66, Appendix I, alongside ATA 104 Level 1 standards. This course aims to familiarize students with the principal elements of the Airbus H160, ensuring they can describe aircraft systems using common terms and examples.

This self-study online course provides a comprehensive technical overview of the H160’s airframe, mechanical systems, and avionics. Participants will engage in multiple-choice assessments at the end of each ATA chapter, unlocking subsequent modules upon successful completion. A serial-numbered certificate will be awarded upon finishing the course.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion, students will be able to:

  • Identify safety precautions related to the H160’s airframe, systems, and powerplant.
  • Recognize essential maintenance practices for the airframe and powerplant.
  • Understand the general layout and operation of the aircraft’s major systems.
  • Describe the characteristics and layout of the ARRANO 1 powerplant.
  • Identify special tooling and test equipment necessary for the H160.

STUDY TIME

The estimated completion time is approximately 40 hours. Students have up to 6 months to finish the course and can pause and resume at any point. After completing, they will have an additional 90 days to review the material.
