The Airbus A330neo General Familiarisation Course with RR Trent 7000 powerplants follows the ATA 104 Specification Level I: General Familiarisation. This course offers a concise overview of the airframe, systems, and powerplants (RR Trent), as described in the Systems Description Section of the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM).
This course complies with EASA’s Knowledge Level 1, in accordance with Regulation EU No. 1321/2014, Part 66, Appendix III, Basic Knowledge Requirements, to ensure that:
This self-paced online course requires approximately 40 hours of study. Each ATA chapter is unlocked after successfully passing a quiz, and a completion certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course.
Upon completion, students will be able to:
(a) Identify safety precautions related to the airframe, systems, and powerplant.
(b) Understand maintenance practices essential to the airframe, systems, and powerplant.
(c) Define the general layout of the aircraft’s major systems, such as air conditioning, electrical systems, and landing gear.
(d) Describe the general layout and characteristics of the RR Trent 7000 powerplants, including FADEC controls, fuel distribution, thrust reversers, and engine monitoring systems.
(e) Recognise special tooling and test equipment used for the Airbus A330neo, including those used for servicing the electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
