The Airbus A320 NEO General Familiarisation course with LEAP-1A & PW1100 powerplants offers a comprehensive technical overview of the airframe, systems, and powerplant. This course meets ATA 104 Specification Level I: General Familiarisation and complies with EASA’s knowledge Level 1 definition as contained in Regulation EU No. 1321/2014, Part 66, Appendix III.
It provides a brief yet thorough understanding of the principal elements of the aircraft, enabling participants to:
- Understand the basic elements of the aircraft systems.
- Give a simple description of the whole subject using common terminology and examples.
- Use appropriate technical terms.
This self-study online course takes approximately 40 hours to complete. Students must pass a multiple-choice quiz at the end of each ATA chapter before progressing to the next. Upon successful completion, a certificate is issued.
Course Objectives: Upon completion of the course, participants will:
- Identify safety precautions related to the airframe, systems, and powerplant.
- Define maintenance practices essential for the airframe, systems, and powerplant.
- Understand the general layout and operation of the aircraft’s major systems.
- Recognize the layout and characteristics of the powerplant.
- Identify special tooling and test equipment required for the aircraft.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
The course scales perfectly to PC, laptop, tablet, Android, and iPhone devices. An active internet connection is required for course access.
STUDY TIME:
The course requires approximately 40 hours to complete. Students have up to 6 months to finish the course, with automatic progress saving. After completion, students can review the content for an additional 90 days.
